Prestige example

Upon reaching Rank 100, players gain the option to prestige in order to earn exclusive Legendary skin rewards and to provide a challenge. Choosing to prestige will effectively reset all equipment unlocks and hunter progression by returning you to Rank 1. The number of times a player has prestiged is displayed to others in the lobby and on the 'killed by' screen. The maximum prestige count is 100.

Choosing to prestige will:

  • Set rank to 1
  • Reset all unlocked items and traits
  • Set money to $8000
  • Remove all owned equipment
  • Remove all owned hunters
  • Remove all Soul Survivors from Soul Survivor recruitment tab
  • Reset hunters available to recruit
  • Increase prestige number by one

The player's account statistics, Legendary unlocks and Trials progress are unaffected by prestige.

The player's badge, which is displayed to hunters that they kill and to teammates in the lobby, corresponds to their prestige count. It is embellished with bronze, silver or gold depending on their current rank (Rank 1-33, 34-66, and 67-100 respectively). Mousing over a player's badge will indicate their prestige count.

At all other prestiges, the player may choose their reward from the following:

An additional $2,000 Hunt Dollars, which allows players to start their fresh prestige with $10,000 Hunt Dollars in the bank rather than $8,000.

+10% XP Boost for the prestige. This boost does not stack and is only active during the prestige for which it was awarded. Weapon and equipment XP, which is tracked live during the game, is unaffected. The boost instead increases Mission XP, which is applied directly to your hunters. As Hunter XP is indirectly converted to Bloodline XP, this boost also affects how quickly the player gains rank. XP gained from Envelopes is unaffected.

Permanently unlock a random Legendary skin. This option is only available at prestiges 2, 4, 6, 8, 30, 65, 70, 75, 85, 90, 95 . The skin is selected from those that can be unlocked via blood bonds. The pool includes hunter and Blood Bond item in addition to weapon skins. DLC, event, and prestige skins cannot be unlocked in this way.

Notes[]

  • In the long run, the +10% XP boost will give better Hunt Dollar returns than the $2,000 Hunt Dollars because, after reaching Rank 100, $200 is awarded for every 5,000 Bloodline XP that you earn.
